Friends of Music Group

The Friends of Music Group (FMG) is a large and vibrant one, supporting and promoting the interests of Music students, Staff and the Music Department at Perth Modern School. If your child is in the Music Program in any ensemble, then you will be invited to join FMG to keep informed of Music events. A committee from FMG meets monthly and is a standing committee formed under the P&C.

Music students participate in many performances during the course of the school year, both in and out of school time. There are concerts, festivals, ensemble and small group opportunities for all students. The Friends of Music support the music program in many ways. At concerts FMG provide stage crew, catering, and front of house assistance. In addition FMG gives financial support to the Music Department through fundraising, promotions and manpower.

Email lists are collated and maintained by parent coordinators to communicate to parents/guardians of up coming events in their region and information from the Music Department. Parents of students in all music programs, on all instruments and in all ensembles are encouraged to keep in touch this way. Families are geographically widespread and email is essential for us to keep you informed.

The Chair of Friends of Music is Robyn Rochat  Please email Robyn to be put in touch with your Area Coordinator. We also welcome those who would like to be kept informed of events in the outstanding Music Program at Perth Modern School.
